If you have a disability, you can apply for your own disability parking space.

You must fill in an application form to apply for a disability parking space with your vehicle registration number.

You can park in the Dyrehavsbakken parking zone for one hour between 12 noon and midnight on all weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The rules apply only during the period when Dyrehavsbakken is open.

Geographical boundary of the parking zone

If you live or own a business in the zone, you can apply for a residential permit so you can park without time limits. You can park your car in Dyrehavsbakken’s private car park for a fee.

You can park in the parking zone at Hellerup Station for a maximum of 30 minutes from 7–10 am and from 4–6 pm on weekdays.

Parking is not restricted outside these times. This also applies to weekends and public holidays.

Geographical boundary of the parking zone

If you live or own a business in the parking zone, you can apply for a residential permit so that you can park without any time restriction.

If you live or own a business in one of the parking zones by Dyrehavsbakken or Hellerup Station you can obtain a free residential permit. With a residential permit, you can park in the parking zone without any time restriction.

A permit is valid for one year; when it expires, you will need to apply again. You can also apply for a visitor’s permit. Remember that the permit is only valid when it is displayed in the windscreen of your vehicle so that it is visible to traffic wardens.

Gentofte Kommune has many electric vehicle charging stations, where you can charge your car. You can park at a charging station for 2 or 4 hours. Please pay attention to the local time restrictions.

You can’t reserve a parking space.

The 10-metre rule means you must park at least 10 metres from the nearest crossroads or the edge of an adjoining road.

If there is a cycle path along the adjoining road, the 10 metres must be counted from the edge of the cycle path.

Don’t do anything if a parked car is obstructing the bin lorry. The bin lorry will come back within 24 hours.

Trailers and caravans may be parked outside specially marked areas for no more than 24 hours.

Your trailer or caravan must not weigh more than 2,000 kg.

Large vehicles weighing up to 3,500 kg must not be parked on streets, roads or squares between 7 pm and 7 am. The same applies to trailers, caravans, tractors and motorised implements.

Trailers and caravans up to a maximum permissible overall weight of 2,000 kg may be parked outside specially marked roads and areas, but only for up to 24 hours.
